Yeah, these are the downsides of living in a remote area. Same for me, and not in a rich neighbourhood. I can choose between satellite internet or wimax, the latter only if the mast is visible. Otoh, the loudest voice I hear at night is the blood rushing in the ears, maybe a dog barking somewhere :-)
In my former home I had a stainless steel handrail round a terrace over a large room (see photo above) which made an ideal resonance body. In the night, when all was quiet and I set a can of beer on the rail, the "crac..zosh" would sound through the Aridane valley and the dogs in the vicinity would start to bark :-)
@some_lame_kid : I can imagine you basically use the phone with a program as a router. Probably needs an adapter for the Ethernet- or USB plug of the computer, or a wireless connection if components allow.
