Not able to edit terrain

I get the terrain plugin from the asset library install it, enable it, and give it a directory when it appears I am not able to edit its height or color. The brush shape will not change and is a square and not a circle. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you referring to the terrain editor by Dmitry Krutskikn?
