There is an open position in our Design and Simulation Systems Research Group at Siemens Technology. We are a team of scientists doing research to leverage the technology from gaming and computer graphics to develop a new kind of digital twins for industrial applications, which would enable real-time design, interaction, simulation and visualization.
In practice, we are looking for people with skills in GPU programming, 3D modeling and computer graphics to implement simulation and AI methods in gaming engines and/or custom software. In terms of programing languages and frameworks, we are very flexible, it is project based, but if in the past we explored Omniverse and Unreal Engine, we are now seriously considering using Godot. Also, some other projects are more low-level with the scope of developing in-house solutions tailored for specific applications, and here we are interested in going down to APIs such as wgpu with compute shaders, for example.
