I thought about preredering the 3d models each, then display the preredered image in the world. It would prereder the model at runtime every certain number of frames. Maybe about 0.05 seconds a new render be created.
It would have limitations such as not rendering the terrain. only the 3d models. It of course would have the intersecting clipping the same as 2d textures.
I think this way an indie producer could use higher quality models for android. Maybe populating a 3d world on android with many many more models.
Has this be done yet?
