[4.0]-Uploading HTML5 Build To Server-How To Tell Browser Game Has Changed?

Hi,

Not sure if we asked this already, but here we go:
Is there a method to tell Internet browser that the game has changed and should be reloaded?
We ask because when we upload new HTML5 builds to our website, the older version of the game is still displayed?
Only way to get new version to display on website is to clear browser cache?

Any ideas?

The keybinding to force a cache cleared reload of the webpage can vary between browsers. Alternatively I think it's either control or shift + mouse click on the reload button on the 'toolbar'.

You can do tow things. If it's your server, you can adjust the cache time (or disable cache entirely, though this is usually not a good idea).

The other option is to trick the browser into loading the newest version. Usually this is done using a dynamic number appended to the URL.

Is there any way to do this without changing the URL of the HTML5 game's "index.html" ?
