I would rather do something during an eclipse, like grab those glasses and see what it looks like! They say a full eclipse makes it look like there are snakes all over.

That's the corona, the outer lay of a star's atmosphere. Don't forget to use appropriate filters even in the phase of totality during a solar eclipse, or better, contact local astronomy clubs. Have fun :-)

But don't expect it to look as spectacular in a telescope/goggles as in some photographies. You'll likely see just a bright rim around the disc of the moon covering the sun.

What I did here was I slipped the glasses over my phone's lens. I then took a screenshot of it while zoomed in.

Bimbam 5. Painting vegetation got a serious bump recently, this plugin is as good as it looks and pretty much just works:

It's a good plugin, but it doesn't create vegetation, it only places ready-made models.

One of my scopes, setup for photography and waiting for darkness. Unfortunately suffered from thermo-mechanical alteration when covered by a lava flow.

In a frustrated rage I deleted all my images, except a few that still are on imgur.

Those images would be amazing to get, although I'm not sure my telescope would even let me do it. It would've been difficult getting my phone with glasses over it. 🙂

Upgrade was very cool.

A series of two movies with some similarities (no ai, but a person has experimental surgery to get revenge on the people that murdered their family) are Hard Revenge Milly and Hard Revenge Milly Bloody Battle. These are Japanese action/gore movies, like Machine Girl or Tokyo Gore Police, but with less comedy (still laughable amounts of blood though).
Plus gun-nunchuks!

I don't see them mentioned much compared to the far more (in)famous Noboru Iguchi and Yoshihiro Nishimura films.

cybereality One of the best cyberpunk movies I've ever watched. The ending was satisfyingly dark and the movie really did the genre justice. I wished it got more attention; it's a quite underrated.

Holy... Did Unity terminate their work with Iron Forge for AppLovin? I understand Fahir said it was a crazy situation in Unity, but it seems insane.

By adware, do you mean Iron Forge? IIRC their adware ended in 2016.

Yeah, definitely some real cyberpunk vibes without the played out neon rain aesthetic.

I haven't seen that one. Checking... I can see it on SBSOnline (australian streaming service) with ads. On my watch list.

Yep, Hard Revenge Milly is very low budget (second movie is higher, but still low).
But laser sighted gun nunchuks!

I like this letterboxd review:

Perfect no-budget filmmaking.
Hard Revenge Milly is essentially an obscure cyberpunk OVA from the 80s, but live action and made in the late 2000s.
Great fight sequences, buckets of blood, hints at a larger world (which would later be expanded on in Bloody Battle), ridiculous antagonists, and a cold blooded badass protagonist.

All this action talk is giving me an urge to rewatch The Raid 1&2. I rewatch the Hammer Girl subway fight and highway chase (with the great camera transfers) a fair bit, but I haven't watched the complete movies for quite a while.

It gets more open world. Still the same main cop as the first movie, but he goes undercover into a crime gang.
Watch it, then look on youtube for the making of the highway chase scene. 🙂
