I was messing around on Godot 4 as I was doing better. Has anyone else had issues with it freezing today, or is it just me? Specifically with export, project settings?

Nerdzmasterz If it crashes because you do a certain thing in the editor, and you can replicate the crash, then you should report this bug here https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues. But you should check beforehand if your issue is already existing here by searching using keywords in the same link.

It crashes and freezes all the time. That is why I am just using 3.x for now.

music check. I know this is a forum for the whole family, so I can change my opinion if it pisses anybody off, but this is my new favorite album.
What has my favorite forum been listening to. You don't need to worry if it's embarrassing, I'll only judge you a little bit.

some_lame_kid Right now I'm listening to this. I first listened to this song when I was too young to understand the lyrics but, now that I'm older, I can say that this song is about when the "end of history" narrative literally when up in flames. Even though the song is quiet catchy, I'll have to warn you that the subject matter is quiet serious.

Besides that, I mostly listen to the music that I've made in secret. Funnily enough, I've made a bandcamp account recently. When I upload something, you won't mind me running it by you?

Audiobellum It's alright. I wouldn't want to listen to it longer than maybe a minute, but you have something good hidden in there. I'm not well versed in the art of music so, the best I can say is it subverts my expectation in a bad way in a few parts. (Totally forgot to hit the reply button) (oops)

some_lame_kid Thanks for the feedback; it was more insightful that I anticipated( though I still feel like talking about the music theory behind it). I'm assuming that you're taking abut the transition between the chorus and verses, alongside how the verse is basically spitted into two riffs while the chorus is a chord progression loop. I tried to make the transitions as smooth as possible but, I think I've may have gotten a bit too used to the transitions during production; I suspect the song will always be jarring for first time listeners. All of these challenges usually don't come up in pop music, as entire songs are just built on a single chord. However, I've been structuring to get the metal song with a simpler song structure. My main influence for the instrumental was Master Of Puppets By Metallica, where some of the riffs where concerned; I also took influence from a Youtube video on Shady Cicada for ideas on how to structure a metal song; hence the pop music adjacent chorus chord progression.

Now that I think of it, I rarely ever hear any Metal song that's quite simple. The only think I can think of is Ace Of Space by Motorhead and Enter Sandman by Metallica. Perhaps Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold is simpler than I anticipated but, I haven't stopped to study the song. I know that AC/DC makes incredibly simple Metal music but, I'm not a fan of those Mixolydian chord progressions. Anyway, speaking of Metallica, the band called The Warning did a great cover of their song Enter Sandman where they basically turned into to another song musically:

Audiobellum I get wanting to break pop tradition and some people may like what you have. I'm more of a prog and punk kind of person. It's more my style of "deviance".
